Clausthal University of Technology's website is the university's showcase and an important marketing tool. Often the public's first point of contact with the university, the content and design of all websites are geared towards the interests of their respective target groups.

Relaunch of the websites 2019

The guiding principle of the technical and content-related redesign of the TU Clausthal website is the generalization and standardization of processes. As the homepage is the core component of the external image of the entire university, changes here are particularly important, both in terms of external visibility and as a signal internally.

The following key areas of work were identified for the relaunch:

  • Menu structure
  • Design and technology
  • Coordinated processes for creating and publishing content

TU Clausthal has been online with a new website since July 1, 2019. The central university pages have been given a modern design, an optimized structure, adapted content and a new technical basis. In the meantime, all institutes and facilities have designed their websites in the new layout.

The TU Clausthal website will continue to undergo constant change in the future in order to adapt to the needs of users.

Social Media

Clausthal University of Technology has official accounts on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube. The accounts are mainly operated by the Press, Communication and Marketing Office, but there are also cooperations with the Computer Center (YouTube) and the Alumni Management (LinkedIn) of the TU.

In addition, some of the university's institutes and facilities maintain their own social media channels. The operators are responsible for the content. We recommend adhering to the communication guidelines of the Federal Association of University Communication:

Before you open your own channel for your institution, institute, etc., please contact the Press, Communication and Marketing Office.

If you have an idea for a post or would like to advertise an event/offer, we would be happy to report on your topic on our social media channels, provided it is of interest to our (internal university) target groups. Send us information and appealing photos (preferably in landscape format, for Instagram stories in portrait format). We are also always open to suggestions for new formats.
